IOWA CHAPTER
Methodist Federation for Social Action
Dear Friends,
Words of wisdom from Martin Luther King, Jr. in recognition of Black History month:
“A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.”
“I refuse to accept the cynical notion that nation after nation must spiral down a militaristic stairway into the hell of thermonuclear destruction. I believe that unarmed truth and un-conditional love will have the final word in reality. This is why right temporarily defeated is stronger than evil triumphant.”
Lots of important events in the next couple of months, so mark your calendars, and join us!
